STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING!

Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) is currently looking for a Healthcare Data Specialist with experience in provider related activities (e.g. provider data systems, provider registration, provider contracting, credentialing, provider servicing, and provider contracting support).This is a W2 Contract position with one of our Fortune 500 Healthcare clients located in Detroit, MI!

Role Summary:

  • Perform analysis of specific provider data quality issues, identifying source of problem.  
  • Outreach to external customers to validate provider demographic information.
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by other staff; evaluate possible corrective actions. Interface with other internal and external areas to resolve problems.
  • Investigate and respond to inquiries from other internal departments and external entities.  
  • Update departmental processes, monitor error and compliance reports to support departmental performance and to ensure adherence to goals, internal and external customer expectations, and requirements from external entities such as CMS and other regulatory agencies.   
  • Participate on special projects or workgroup as assigned.

Top 3 Skills:  

  • Three years of experience in a health administration setting with an emphasis on provider related activities (e.g. provider data systems, provider registration, provider contracting, credentialing, provider servicing, and provider contracting support) required.
  • At least two years Analyst experience required with proven experience in problem analysis, data analysis, root cause identification / documents and problem resolution activities.
  • Customer service.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment and self-starter.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to identify, evaluate, recommend and implement changes to processes or procedures in order to address problems and improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize; must be able to coordinate multiple activities with varying timelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and software, database applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • At least two years Analyst experience required with proven experience in problem analysis, data analysis, root cause identification / documents and problem resolution activities.
  • Broad knowledge of managed care healthcare delivery systems required.
  • Broad knowledge of Portico systems solutions.  
  • Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Access preferred.  Knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce analytical papers and other written reports required.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through abilities with attention to detail required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently required.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple internal clients and to handle multiple projects and implementation timeframes required.
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members at various levels of management required.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with proven ability to produce high quality output required.
  • Proven ability to operate under changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability required.

Education:  
        •    Associate’s Degree in business or health care related field.
