THE POSITION
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our dental team in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer as a Dental Hygienist.

- Full-time employment
- Work Hours: 8:00am – 4:00 pm; 30 minute lunch
- 37.5 hour work week
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55
- This position is subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing oral screenings, dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and other dental treatments for offenders
- Charting and maintaining dental records
- Exposing and developing radiographs
- Providing oral hygiene instruction and counseling to offenders

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
- Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a license to practice as a dental hygienist as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- If you are claiming licensure in your answers to the supplemental application questions, you must attach a copy of your license for your claim to be accepted toward meeting the minimum requirements. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
