RN Support/Call Center Level 1 – Nurse Tech

Duties:

JOB SUMMARY: A Clinical Non nursing staff member promotes a safe environment for patients during times of extremely high census or service line usage. This position may be held by any person holding an active NT listing, or others trained in the healthcare field that allows for them to safely provide support to regular clinical staff. Each Clinical Non-Nursing Supplemental/Temporary staff member is expected to deliver excellent customer service while being supportive of patient safety and comfort and by utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and other healthcare colleagues.

Skills:

Respond to incoming phone calls regarding employee covid screening and out of work processes. Document in electronic record system. Escalate a call or situation up to a Level 2 or HAW lead nurse when needed. Assist with calling the employees on the exposure list. Gather information to assist Level 2s in consulting with employees. Perform clerical/administrative tasks as needed. Able to work with people. Read, write, and speak English at a ninth grade level. Able to use basic technology such as computer, internet, copier, etc. Able to prioritize work. Able to work with multiple interruptions. Complete basic math problems. Able to sit for suicide precaution patients and safety patients. Administrative- Required

Education:

EDUCATION REQUIRED: HS diploma or GED equivalency. Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program. NAI licensure is required. Must be in good standing. BLS required. Must have 6 months direct patient care experience. PREFERRED: 1-2 years of direct patient care experience.
