Manhattanview Healthcare Center is looking for a candidate for a unit manager. The candidate can be a RN or a LPN, and must have experience in a long term care setting. The primary purpose of this position is to direct the day to day functions of the nursing unit under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities include:
- Possess knowledge operating the unit in accordance with current Federal, State and Local standards, regulations, OSHA and guidelines.
- Adheres to established facility policies and procedures that govern the long term care facility.
- Assures that the highest degree of quality care is provided to our residents at all times.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities in group situations and have a pleasant, friendly personality.
- Ability to execute independent judgment in the absence of the ADON/DON when procedures cannot be standardized.
- Ensures full respect is rendered to all residents, visitors’ co-workers and management.
- Controls, organizes and coordinates all unit activity for 24 hours period.
