Assistant Professor – Nephrology – UNC-Chapel Hill – Chapel Hill, NC

Minimum Qualifications:

A knowledge base of immunology, especially as it relates to glomerular autoimmune disease, is an integral part of the disease-focused programs. The research role necessitates a wide spectrum of research and teaching skills that encompass the full range of molecular biology approaches, with special focus on the molecular basis of inheritance and systems immunology. In addition, experience in preparing and obtaining NIH and foundational research grants and designing and overseeing mechanism-based, interventional clinical trials, with a demonstrated record of academic investigation, is highly preferred. The physician role will require comprehensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with the full spectrum of nephrologic diagnoses with specific focus on glomerular disorders. This position involves active participation and leadership in a large research group that is committed to investigating new approaches to answer ongoing questions that pertain not only to glomerular diseases, but also to the general fields of autoimmunity, inflammation and basic neutrophil and monocyte biology.MD and BC/BE in Nephrology
