CME is currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations Team.You will be responsible to work on production and manufacturing engineering projects and activities independently to launch and maintain mobile storage product lines in the healthcare Industry. This position is based out of the Warwick, RI branch and will report to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and build work cells to maximize throughput and production build efficiency
  • Conduct competitive quotes and provide analysis of cost build-ups for assigned products
  • Lead the identification and implementation of cost reduction projects utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma policies
  • Develop quality assurance programs and protocols relating to incoming parts and outgoing product
  • Create work instructions for standard and custom product applications
  • Conduct Value Analysis/Value Engineering for assigned products and production lines
  • Maintain communications with key operational and supply management teams to ensure successful implementation while helping to build a robust New Product Commercialization process and methodology
  • Organize and guide manufacturing and logistics resources associated with the implementation of product launches and changes
  • Preserve product integrity and customer satisfaction when product changes (ECO’s) are made
  • Improve the quality and reliability of the order fulfillment process
  • Performs other miscellaneous tasks and projects assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Business literacy and the ability to understand and support CME’s business, operational, and financial strategies
  • Highly developed engineering and manufacturing process knowledge
  • Proven successful product launch experience
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCad
  • Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Well-developed cost analysis and risk management skills
  • Established troubleshooting/problem solving experience
  • Flexible schedule
