General Summary:
The Front Office Assistant/Receptionist is primarily responsible for coordinating all functions necessary for an efficient and productive flow of patients between check-in, treatment, and check-out. This Front Office Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for all non-clinical patient services including managing the patient scheduling process; collecting and posting patient payments and co-pays; maintaining the front desk area; and providing outstanding customer service to our patients. This individual will be required to be flexible with work hours.
Qualifications and Education Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of medical office or Healthcare Industry preferred
- Ability to answer and operate a multi-line phone system
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Ability to manage routine office files, systems, and tools
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
- Must possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude, good people skills, and professional appearance
- Computer literate, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented
Essential Functions:
- Assists with scheduling appointments of existing and new patients
- Assists with verifying financial information and insurances of existing and new patients
- Assists with obtaining general prior authorization for patient testing
- Assists with “checking in” and “checking out” existing and new patients
- Maintains upkeep of the lobby, office, and kitchen
- Responsible for updating
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
Physical Requirements:
The Front Office Assistant/Receptionist may sit comfortably to perform work, Walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, iPads, office supplies, computer work, and answering phones will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 – $17.50 per hour
