Colorectal Surgeon – UNC-Chapel Hill – Chapel Hill, NC

The Department of Surgery at The University of North Carolina is seeking applications from Board Certified (Board Eligible) academic colorectal surgeons to join the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery. The Division of GI Surgery is among 9 Divisions in the Department of Surgery and currently includes faculty members that provide a broad array of clinical services for patients afflicted primarily with diseases of the upper and lower GI tract and hernia related problems. The Division of GI Surgery maintains an Advanced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship and plans to establish an ACGME-approved Colorectal Surgery Fellowship. Faculty members within the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery are committed to all three missions of the Department of Surgery and School of Medicine; namely clinical, educational and research excellence. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, commitment to team work and dedication to providing optimal clinical care in a multidisciplinary fashion while participating in the education of medical students and training of surgical residents and fellows, and conducting impactful clinical outcomes, health services, translational, or basic science research in diseases of the colon, rectum and anus.
