Assistant Community Manager – CCH – Oakland, CA

Seeking a full-time (40 hrs. per week) Assistant Community Manager for our senior communities in Oakland, California. WESTLAKE-WEST Role provides backup to Community Manager and ensures data quality for compliance. And handles confidential information. HUD experience.. This position will split time between our three Santa Cruz area properties to assistant the Community Managers as needed.

  • Processes and maintains confidential resident documents including applications, income certifications, and re-certifications
  • Collects rent, maintains occupancy, accounting, move-in, and move-out records
  • Updates and maintains occupancy, accounting, move-in, and move-out records.
  • Updates and maintains apartment inspection reports, work orders, and other facility records
  • Assists and other office and support services as needed
  • Assists in carrying out emergency procedures when needed.
  • Orders supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance
  • May participate in planning or completing projects or events
  • Regularly attends staff training and safety meetings

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Compliance knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Backgrounds in fast food management, retail management, and social services highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and two years subsidized (Section 8) housing administration experience or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • Experience in HUD & HOME knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist a plus.
  • Knowledge and skill in One Site/ Yardi Real Page property management software is a plus.
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Bi-Lingual, Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
