Program Manager – University of Colorado Boulder – Boulder, CO

The Leeds School of Business encourages applications for a Program Manager within the Office of Diversity Affairs! This position reports to the Director of the Office of Diversity of Affairs and responsibilities include; manage programs and a student caseload within the Diverse Scholars Program (DSP), supervise and developing appropriate interventions for undergraduate retention and professional development; monitor, evaluate and develop program curriculum to assist in successful student retention and placement. This person must be familiar with university policies, procedures, and codes of ethics related to budgetary use, program development, corporate and donor outreach, and other related processes.

The Office of Diversity Affairs, established in 2001, supports an inclusive learning environment for the diverse student body at the Leeds School. Caseload Management

  • Develop program learning outcomes that support the Leeds vision for the Diverse Scholars Program (DSP).
  • Collaborate with undergraduate affairs programs and corporate partners on student development outcomes; monitor, evaluate, and improve the DSP support system as it relates to student career paths.
  • Establish and manage advising process for DSP program participants.


Program Management

  • Manage DSP Tutoring Program; hire, train, and monitor tutors; manage evaluation collection and timesheet collection.
  • Manage and coordinate DSP Research Initiative; outreach to Leeds faculty and develop application process; recruit, coordinate training and manage research assistants’ payment.
  • Build professional development opportunities for Diverse Scholars; facilitate “Lunch and Learn” workshops with corporate recruiters, DSP alumni and professional organizations to engage with DSP.
  • Implement students’ outreach, RSVP process and attendance tracking process to events.
  • Conduct additional workshops to aid students in internship and full-time placement preparation.
  • Collaborate with Leeds Office of Career Strategy for additional opportunities for job seeking seniors.
  • Lead the continuous evaluation of programs and services provided by the Office of Diversity Affairs.
  • Use Salesforce to create relevant reports on students’ demographics, area of emphasis, internship opportunities, etc. to advise development of new programs or modifications.
  • Develop and disseminate weekly newsletter to DSP students and modify communication plan as needed.
  • Manage and update new DSP student application, selection process and onboarding communication.


Administrative Leadership

  • Track DSP participation scholarship and manage awarding process, utilizing programs such as Salesforce, Qualtrics, Airtable or Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Contribute to setting policies, coordinating major initiatives (retention, alumni & corporate relations), leading personnel and staff development and supervision of student employees.
  • Monitor the quality of student staff projects.
  • Position should have in-depth knowledge of working with undergraduate students.
  • Particularly traditionally underserved and under-represented populations.
  • Areas of discretion would include developing relationships with other Leeds offices, faculty and students on professional level.
  • Position is expected to work well in teams and independently; must be comfortable interpreting data; must be compassionate regarding student issues and understand how to lead by example.
  • This person is key in building relationships with students; directly impacts student satisfaction for not only the Office of Diversity Affairs but for the Leeds School of Business.
  • Provide leadership in the creation and management of internal (on-campus) and external (off campus) academic, education, information, and public relations related activities is vital.
  • This position may require some evening and weekend work.
  • The salary range for this position starts at $50,000.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Two years of professional experience in the field of student development or student services, working with traditionally underrepresented or under-served students. Experience with student program planning and implementation or community outreach.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Formal training and/or professional experience in student development in higher education, cross- culturally competent service development.
  • Program implementation strategies specific to business students.
  • Management of student staff.
  • Experience using Qualtrics, Salesforce, Social Media, Mogli, Airtable and Microsoft Office Suite.
