The Opportunity:

Goodman is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Training, Dojo Intermediate role. This position research the needs of potential students in a industrial / production environment, as it relates to the goals of the department and company objectives. Research is accomplished through analysis of surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, and general discussions with managers and workers. Training courses are then developed to meet the need. This position will budget for supplies, and design a detailed class curriculum and schedule. The successful candidate will be able to produce study documents, class room worksheets, and successfully pilot the new course prior to full roll-out within the company. Skills trainers will monitor the learning progress of their students, and then modify classes for better results. Trainers will monitor and track the effect training has had on employee skills and company profitability over time. Responsibilities:

  • Recommend improvements in curriculum and updates to accommodate new technology
  • Make lesson plans and determine best instructional methods for conveying subject matter
  • Can motivate, and direct people while training while concurrently researching, and creating additional training courses
  • Results oriented, while managing one’s own time efficiently, and the time of others
  • Ability to use multiple approaches when learning or teaching new things
  • Quick comprehension and understanding of written work in related documents
  • Understand the needs of the audience, and can effectively communicate in writing
  • Use data to identify candidates with the highest success factors for needed positions
  • Facilitating and talking with others in proactive dialogue, to effectively convey information
  • Willingness to develop new approaches while continually working to improve the program
  • Can manage and supervise while maintain the personality and demeanor to train others
  • Situational trainer, can coordinate and adjust own actions in relation to the actions of others
  • Maintains integrity, fairness, and data driven decisions in employee training and observations
  • Strong ability to develop relationships in a friendly non-competitive environment

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Data collection and analysis experience.
  • Experience with managing people & multiple projects in a fast paced environment. KRONOS & MAPICS experience, MS office experience (preferred)
  • High school education diploma required. 2 year Degree (preferred)
  • MS Office / MS PowerPoint experience
