DESCRIPTION:
This is a part-time (3 days/week – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) pediatric HIV/AIDS program social work position. This social worker will be a part of a team that provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary services to infants, children and young adults and their family members who are infected and affected by HIV. Responsibilities will include psychosocial assessments for all patients as well as the provision of behavioral and mental health services, case management services, and health education to children aged infancy to late adolescence and early adulthood. The social worker not only functions as a member of the pediatric program of Jack Martin Fund Clinic in the Institute of Advanced Medicine, but also works collaboratively with various members of the larger institute, sitting on committees such as CQI. In addition, he/she will be instrumental in assessing the need for, and the development of, new programming to best meet the needs of this changing and aging population. Finally the social worker will also have some coverage responsibilities in the general pediatric social work program.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Strong programmatic and organizational skills.
· Ability to work with fragile, multi-problem families.
· Some experience working with children/youth preferred.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
· Minimum one year in current position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $37,445.00 – $63,000.00 per year
