The Diabetic Educator coordinates and/or provides educational opportunities for the Diabetic patient in the in-patient and out-patient setting. This includes needs assessment, development of goals and objectives, implementation methods, evaluation measures and instruction of educational activities. Creates opportunities to improve the educational function as it relates to the disease process. Assumes leadership in the role of program coordinator.
