JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Welcoming Specialist serves as an ambassador for the University of Vermont Medical Center by greeting, screening, directing and assisting patients, families and guests at the main entrances to the UVMMC Campus. The Welcoming Specialist is often the first person a visitor, patient or staff member encounters upon arrival at UVMMC. Exceptional customer service combined with professional etiquette deployment is required. The Welcoming Specialist provides designated exterior entry point screening and entry authorization for all individuals seeking entry into designated UVMMC sites. Screening may incorporate CDC screening guidelines or other emerging standards. Entry authorization criteria and enforcement is linked to the current UVMMC Welcoming Policy regarding visitor management.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

Customer service experience and experience providing or assisting in direct patient care preferred
