High school diploma or GED required

The Patient Service Rep is responsible for providing valuable customer service to patients, vendors, insurance companies, and other medical facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned.

• Patient check in (obtaining patient registration forms/identification)

• Accurately enter patient insurance/demographic information into system

• Triage incoming calls and route them appropriately utilizing good customer service skills

• Conduct all required insurance authorizations / pre-certifications for patient visits

• Obtain, prepare and process appropriate medical and/or office forms (including but not limited to patient consent forms, medical release forms, physician referrals, etc.)

• Schedule appropriate new & follow-up medical / surgical appointments.

• Confirm and remind patients of scheduled appointments.
