HOURLY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
General Description:
The Occupational Therapist provides assessment,planning, goal development and treatment to help infants and children develop improved fine motor, visual motor and self help skills. The Occupational therapist must have good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively consult with parents and other healthcare professionals involved in the child’s care.
Required Qualifications at this Level:
Education: B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience: Pediatric experience as an Occupational Therapist (3 years preferred)
Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of New Jersey
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour

Job Duties:
- Evaluating a patient’s functional status
- Evaluating the home environment
- Establishing treatment goals
- Planning treatment
- Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
- Coordinating treatment with other health care personnel
- Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers
- Evaluating need for interdisciplinary referral
- Providing accurate, timely documentation of treatment
- Participating in appropriate, approved educational and clinical research activities
