Flexible staffing arrangement for LPNs seeking additional hours, no more than an average of 29 hours per week.
Position provides health care, treatments and related services for those offenders incarcerated in an adult institution.
Conducts screening of offenders with health complaints.
Provides nursing services, health care and treatment to offenders in an adult correctional institution.
Assesses offenders’ health problems and needs, prepares and administers prescribed medications, initiates emergency interventions, first aid measures, and assists physician.
Develops and implements medical/nursing guidelines and maintains medical records.
Provides training as necessary to staff and education to offenders about healthy lifestyles.

This wage LPN position has an Enhanced Hiring Rate of $32.00 per hour from March 1, 2020 throughout October 24, 2020. Then the pay rate may return to the normal State LPN hourly rate of $26.00 per hour on 10/25/2020.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
