Front Office Job Description

2. Being available to perform his/her professional services during the clinic’s office hours for the number of hours and days scheduled

3. Following all policies and procedures of Grand Ave Urgent Care, including Code of Conduct, and HIPAA

4. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Duties

1. Welcomes patients, clients and visitors by greeting in person or on the telephone

2. Effectively communicating with patients and other health care staff to manage patient care

3. Assisting patients in the registration process

4. Optimized patients’ satisfaction: provide wait time, comfort patients by anticipating patients’ needs, help patients in distress by responding to emergencies, answer patients’ questions

5. Keeping and maintain appropriate records of all patients signing into the clinic. Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality

6. Obtaining and recording all demographics, insurance and payment information of each patient

7. Performing verification of patient insurance information and payment information. Collecting patient’s co-pay/co-insurance/deductible charges; work with patients on payment plans as needed

8. Maintain existing patient accounts and updating personal and financial information

9. Scanning of all report and/or findings of testing in demographics/system

10. Entering all data in the clinic Practice Management PM (Practice Manager) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) as required

11. Answering all incoming calls and forwarding to the appropriate employee, management and/or department

12. Daily money management of cash box, AR & Insurance co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles

13. When and if needed, performing or supervising front desk procedures that include but are not limited to training new staff

14. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplied; verify receipts of supplies

15. Preparing all reports, claims, and correspondence necessary and appropriate to the performance of billing requirements at the beginning and end of all shifts

16. Follow all opening and closing procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25,000.00 – $30,000.00 per year
