CareWear Fitter – Chartwell Midwest Wisconsin – Middleton, WI

The CareWear Fitter evaluates and determines the prosthetic (breast prostheses), orthotic (compression stockings), and maternity support garment needs of cancer, peripheral vascular, and maternity clients, respectively, through brief interview, history and observation at CareWear locations. The CareWear Fitter, independently fits the CareWear product(s), and recommends/sells the appropriate product(s). The CareWear Fitter may also be required to complete a prior authorization to the client’s insurance company. The Fitter schedules CareWear appointments for all three CareWear clinics, triages phone calls, assists clients in the retail store, checks in inventory, mails products to clients and orders products. Responsibilities also include posting charges and collecting cash and /or charge payments at each CareWear location. May require some travel to various locations.

  • TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides client Support and Education.
  • Evaluates and coordinates the supply needs of clients.
  • Completes a brief but thorough interview to obtain client medical history.
  • Performs assessments to determine the appropriate product selection and takes client measurements to fit products to meet specific client needs.
  • Complete prior authorizations to the client’s insurance company.
  • Obtains prescriptions for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
  • Provides product education and obtains client feedback related to product selection.
  • Accurately documents measurements and products ordered and delivered in Health Link client chart.
  • Accurately enters order, inventory and confirms orders into internet based database, Brightree
  • Ability to review patient’s medical record as needed for pertinent information applicable to products needed from CareWear.
  • Provides information to newly diagnosed patients regarding products and resources available in an empathetic manner.
  • Communicates with referring physicians and recommends referrals to other health care professionals.
  • Completes charge entry and cash collection as necessary. Ensures clients sign the appropriate forms including financial responsibility and product delivery acceptance forms.
  • Provides in-services to community partners, and other necessary locations to familiarize clinic and hospital staff with CareWear services and products as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date inventory at all locations, transferring inventory from one location to another as needed.
  • Provides receptionist support duties in CareWear, as needed.
  • Assist with receiving and tracking inventory, stocking shelves, and mailing supplies to patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or delegated by manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of direct patient care/interaction required
  • Knowledge of moderate computer functions required
  • Custom Fitting or compression stocking fitting expereince prefferred
  • CNA, MA or LPN expereience highly prefferred
  • Knowledge of billing functions and insurance reinmursement preferred
