Vice President of Compliance – iCircle – Buffalo, NY

Summary:

The Vice President for Compliance serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer for iCircle Services. The VP of Compliance should be a subject matter expert and understand the regulations that govern NYS Department of Health insurance programs. The VP of Compliance is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that compliance programs throughout the organization are efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The VP of Compliance will design, develop, implement and monitor quality and compliance activities and strategies within the organization, while insuring the iCircle Board of Directors, management, and employees follow all applicable rules and regulations. The VP of Compliance will act as staff to the COO, CEO/President and Board of Directors by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance and quality of all iCircle product lines.

The VP of Compliance has to provide reasonable assurance to senior management and the Board that there are effective and efficient policies and procedures in place, that are well understood and respected by all employees, and the company is complying with all regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide oversight and direction of iCircle Services Compliance program and will serve as the Chief Compliance Officer for iCircle Services.
  • Function as the subject matter expert on NYS DOH regulatory compliance.
  • Initiate process for identification of regulatory changes affecting iCircle areas of operation and programs.
  • Create and communicate an overall vision for compliance within the organization, set goals, and recommend organizational changes to achieve goals.
  • Develop, monitor, and revise the annual compliance work plan in accordance with NYS DOH regulations and corporate priorities.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine adherence to and effectiveness of compliance program, and to ensure progress towards goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and/or training and education to improve business understanding of related laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, revise, and monitor policy and procedures for the compliance program.
  • Advise management in carrying out policies related to compliance in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to the Board of Directors and management.
  • Interact with regulators on compliance issues.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of the Compliance Program.
  • Provide direct oversight and supervision to compliance department.
  • The VP of Compliance will report directly to the CEO and inform the board about important issues and material violations.

Required Academic and Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s Level Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration and/or related field is required.
  • 10 years’ experience in health care administration, with a minimum of 5 years directly in compliance, preferably with experience in state and federal healthcare insurance programs.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation (NYS Drivers’ Licensed required).
  • Ability to work independently and motivate others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and iCircle Services’ policy.
