Masters in Mental Health Needed For Assessing of Children – Ascend, A MAXIMUS Company – Paris, TN

MAXIMUS is a national leader in providing specialty assessment services. We are an exciting, innovative and rapidly growing company and as a result, we are growing again! If you have experience working in the:

· mental health field and/or

· the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities

then we may have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are recruiting quality driven professionals for the new Katie Beckett Waiver. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn an extra income while performing a valuable and life changing service for children and families in your community.

This Waiver will benefit children under the age of 18 who have various disabilities and/or complex medical needs and who do not qualify for Medicaid due to their parent’s income. This new program will provide services and/or help pay for medical care that private insurance does not cover.

Children who qualify will receive full Medicaid benefits which could include services like home health, private duty nursing, durable medical equipment and supplies, and occupational, physical and speech therapies, among other services. They may also receive up to $15,000 a year in home and community-based services. These are non-medical services that help families care for children in their homes. Some of these services may include respite, supportive home care, and home and vehicle modifications.

Assessments will be conducted on a fee-for-service schedule. As an independent contractor, you will have no office to report to and set your own schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

The children we will serve will have a medical, behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disability (or a combination of the above) so we are seeking specialists in each of the fields.

To be considered, all candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct care to children and:

· Have a minimum of a Masters degree in Mental Health Services (This may include Psychology, Counseling, Social Worker, and other types of Mental Health Professionals.)

We are excited to be apart of this program and if this sounds like something you would enjoy, and you meet our qualifications, we’d love to hear from you!

Your phone calls are welcome. Call Kristen Sawyer at 615-472-9898 for additional information.
