We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:
- Communicate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
- Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient’s level of complexity.
Education :
Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Work Experience :
Minimum – One (1) year of relevant clinical experience
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum – Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :
- Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
- Experience in teaching patients and families.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.
On-Call Requirement
On-call required. Call response time of 45 minutes; 45 minutes from phone call, dressed in scrubs and reporting to charge nurse.
Physical Requirements :
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
W ork Schedule :
100% FTE (40 hours per week) Work hours: 6:40 am – 3:10 pm, 9:40 am – 6:10 pm (One time per week) Evening 2:40 pm – 11:10 pm (One time every 8 weeks). Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Holiday, team, and weekend call required. Holiday triage shift required.
