Registered Nurse – Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless – Albuquerque, NM

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.

We are looking for an engaged and energetic registered nurse to join our diverse provider team. Our perfect candidate would have experience in triage, either er or outpatient setting. They would be adept in screening and prioritizing clients. We need a candidate that has general experience in all types of wound care and would prefer someone certified for this specialty. Our perfect candidate would be flexible and adaptable with strong verbal and written communication. Our team is in a period of dynamic growth and we need someone with a growth mindset and ability to flex between types of roles when necessary. A high level of computer proficiency is needed for the position in order to work in our EMR.

Minimum qualifications: Spanish speaking, registered nurse with a license to practice in New Mexico

Preferred qualifications: Experience working in a primary care setting with under-served populations or people experiencing homelessness and knowledge of harm reduction and trauma informed philosophies
