Dental Hygienist
Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for full-time Dental Hygienists to join our Tri-Cities location’s dental team! If you are a team-player who loves providing quality patient care, please consider applying. We are accepting applications from Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the state of Virginia AND recent hygiene school graduate awaiting licensure (hired employee will start as a Hygiene Assistant until they receive their RDH). Please indicate your expected license date when applying. Typical work hours are 4-5 days per week, 8am-5pm.

We are a practice with over 400 employees, 15 locations and over 60 general dentists and dental specialists. At Virginia Family Dentistry, our hygienists are held to a high-quality standard in all aspects of dental care. They are all team-players, time-mange efficiently, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Hygienist role will effectively deliver care in a way that ensures patient satisfaction and improves oral health. The hygienist provides ongoing care through education, treatment, reinforcement of doctor’s treatment plans, and by diligently following Virginia Family Dentistry’s Standard of Care.
Clinical Requirements
· CPR certified (American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for healthcare providers)
· High degree of skill with hand instrumentation and ultrasonic inserts
· Experience in digital radiographs and Dentrix Enterprise electronic patient records preferred
· Scaling and Root planning
· Certified to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia
