This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys direct support and caregiving to work on a team with other professionals in a structured professional workplace. Share your own interests in cooking, sewing, gardening, music. You will also drive and/or accompany clients on a variety of outings in Marin County for swimming, bowling, to parks, libraries, and other special events.

Instructors are responsible for teaching and training clients and stays actively engaged with clients during classes and activities. Instructors assist the Program Coordinators with implementing the clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISP’s) and all program service activities. Our management team provides supervision and direction so Instructors work as part of a team or on his/her own.
What you’ll be doing!
Teach and engage in activities reflecting client preferences and ISP objectives.
Teach and train clients in employment and independent living skills.
Assist clients with lunch and snacks which includes supervision of eating and drinking, or feeding them, or providing a level of support that enables them to finish meals and snacks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene which includes changing adult clothing and disposable undergarments.
Takes clients on community outings using agency vehicles, personal car, and/or public transportation.
Complete basic documentation: observation and seizure reports, case notes, data on clients’ goals and objectives, van logs, mileage/expense reports, and administrative paperwork.
Share observations regarding client progress or concerns with Program Coordinators.
Must work in partnership with coworkers during client activities.
Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or any combination of similar education and experience.
Must be 18 years or older.
Personality: Upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work.
Full-time candidates must have a current valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record for minimum of two years. Insurable under Marin Ventures company insurance.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities ideal.
Ability to drive agency vehicles.
