Caregiver Needed in Bridgehampton

Attention Caregivers,

Artful Home Care is seeking a full-time DEPENDABLE caregiver 4 days per week in Bridgehampton 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. This assignment is for a dependable caregiver, with a valid driver’s license, who enjoys a nice relaxing environment and wants to help our agency give our client the best quality of life in her home.

Duties will include: meal preparation, assisting in fall prevention by walking behind the client (she uses a walker) but encourage her to do what she can, assisting her in her pool in the summers, driving the client a few times per week to appointments locally near Bridgehampton, and driving the client approximately approximately 3 times per year to NYC to visit her family in her car with her husband.
The Assignment Includes:
Morning: if client is not dressed, help her to get dressed and ready for the day.
She likes to read the paper after breakfast.
3 days per week, she goes to the YMCA.
Afternoon: Lunch.
Enjoys a little TV in the afternoon;
work together on a household chore/laundry, etc;
get creative! game, puzzle, craft, letter writing, drawing, sketching, watercolor (try something new) the success comes in time, and if you as the caregiver engage in the activity yourself, it will overtime inspire the client to participate.
Nap around 4 p.m. or so.
Evening: Refresh after nap,
begin preparing dinner,
get dressed in pajamas and clean up for bed time.

Other Activities she enjoys:
She is an artist- although not active. She began creating art at 50, ceramics then silkscreens/prints;
Engage creatively;
discuss her art work, and her inspirations;
Enjoys scrabble and puzzles;
Shopping
Visit an art opening/museum/gallery;
Nail care, mani/pedis.
