Hotel Senior Maintenance Engineer Job Summary: Supervise the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor safety systems and maintain the department in compliance with all company and franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and associates. Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of the hotel’s mechanical/electrical systems and equipment, and for the general maintenance and upkeep of the physical properties, FF&E, grounds, swimming pool, etc. as defined by brand standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotels.

Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.

Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

Communicate with hotel department heads to become aware of maintenance needs and ensure timely response to internal requests.

Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.

Maintain the building exterior, parking lot, public areas
and “curb appeal” (e.g., lawn care, painting, and gardening).

Maintain franchise standards and follow-up on inspection deficiencies.

Coordinate compliance of service contracts and replacement analyses.

Maintaining all equipment in guest rooms, conducting safety inspections.

Must have knowledge of safety and emergency procedures, and working with vendors.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2-year hotel maintenance engineer supervisory experience is required.

• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, electric, plumbing, painting, carpentry, kitchen equipment and other mechanical devices, certifications a plus.

• The physical demands of the position include heavy lifting, working on ladders, and standing or walking for extended periods of time. The ability to climb stairs several times a day is a requirement for this position.

• Must have a professional appearance and excellent communication skills to speak with and assist guests on a regular basis.
