DENTAL ASSISTANT (san jose south)

Looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to work in a busy dental office in San Jose on a long term basis. Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Good compensation will be offered.

Responsible for assisting the dentists during examination and treatment of patients:
1) Prepare patient and assist during dental procedures
2) Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials
3) Record medical and dental histories and diagnostic x-rays
4) Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
5) Assist dentist in management of dental emergencies
6) Provide postoperative instructions to patients as prescribed by Dentist
7) Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations
8) Pour, trim, and polish study casts, fabricate custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, clean and polish removable appliances, and fabricate temporary restorations
