Administrative Assistant/Independent Living Skills Instructor (Greater Sacramento Area)

This position provides support for the Independent Living Services (ILS) staff and Program Director. This position reports directly to the ILS Program Director and exercises no supervisory function. The Administrative Assistant III performs the following essential duties:

• Prioritize and complete general clerical duties as requested by ILS Program Director in a timely fashion.
• Copying and scanning documents.
• Setting up and maintenance of participant files.
• Phone screen and set up interview for ILS Instructor (ILI) positions, as requested.
• Checking references of potential staff for ILS Program Director.
• New staff training (computer, voice mail, time card/audit trail, etc.).
• Route paperwork.
• Weekly review and audit of ILS audit trails, attendance documents and narrative notes.
• Complete Alta billing and organize billing documentation.
• Purging of participant files.
• Coordinate and provide coverage – assist in scheduling ILS staff vacation requests.
• Attend ILS staff meetings and take minutes.
• Review staff mileage and timecards for accuracy before submitting to payroll.
• Review and send Participant Quarterly Case notes to Alta Service Coordinators.
• Provide direct support to program participants as needed (may maintain a small caseload).

Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably in services for individuals with disabilities, with indications of increasing levels of responsibility. Employee must pass a criminal record clearance. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (within InAlliance’s guidelines) from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
