Rehab, Charge Nurse

Details: The Registered Nurse is a professional care giver who uses the nursing process to provide patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The Rehabilitation RN performs activities that maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss. Assess the physical, psychological and social status appropriate to the age of the patients served in a systematic and continuous manner to identify self care abilities and learning needs. Collaborates with the patient/family/significant other and other members of the rehabilitation team to formulate a plan of care that includes patient self care deficits, nursing interventions and expected outcomes. Provides nursing care and patient/family education with respect and caring, utilizing clinical knowledge necessary to implement the plan of care according to approved standards of care and practice. Evaluates patient s response to plan of care through assessment of appropriateness and effectiveness of interventions using a continuous quality improvement approach. Modifies the plan as necessary to achieve optimum outcomes. Strives for continuous self development in rehabilitation nursing and interpersonal skills to provide customer service utilizing a professional presentation, effective communication and technical knowledge as representatives of ETMC. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for ongoing unit operations to ensure optimum function of the organization. Details: Completion of Associate Degree, Diploma, and/or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing 1-2 years of rehab nursing, ortho/neuro, med-surg nursing. Licensure in the State of Texas required
