Resource Family Support Liaison (San Diego)

PROGRAM
In collaboration with San Diego County Child Welfare Services and Behavioral Health Services – Children, Vista Hill’s Incredible Families Program (IFP) provides parent training curriculum and mental health services to children. Critical service elements take place under one organizational umbrella with one primary clinician assigned to each family, thus providing maximum efficiency and effectiveness for the families as well as the supervising CWS worker.

Specific service components include a weekly multi-family parent-child visitation event and meal for all family members.

POSITION
The Resource Family Support Liaison supports therapist with case load of CWS involved clients. He/she will preferably utilize lived experience to help Foster parents of clients participating in the Incredible Families Program while maintaining good boundaries. Tasks include:

• Assist with visitation coordination for Foster parents and children to weekly visitation.
• Provide support for meal preparation if needed
• Assist in parenting class using Incredible Years curriculum if needed
• Provide collateral and rehabilitative services to Foster Parents of children participating in IF Program.
• Refer Foster parents to local resources
• Provide needed reports to Supervisor and Program Director.
• Provide time cards and mileage in a timely manner.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

GED or High School Diploma,
Preferred experience with CWS system and Foster Care System

HOURS
10-20 hours per week
