Join a growing practice and build your career on a solid foundation! Langan has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Engineer with 0 to 3 years of experience at our New Haven, CT office. As the successful candidate, you will be working on exciting projects in both Connecticut and New York. Projects vary in complexity and size, including large high-profile sites. You will assist with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction. Candidate must be able to perform field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects. Possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential to this position.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and Masters degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialty strongly preferred;
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0;
• Entry level to 3 years of experience; we prefer candidates to have completed at least 1 related internship;
• FE/EIT certification preferred;
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
• Field experience with construction monitoring is preferred, but not required;
• Must be willing to spend about 75 percent of work hours in the field;
• Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing; and
• Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
