Shift Information: Variable
PRN (as needed), variable shifts
This is an on-call per diem position to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
The Pharmacists primary responsibility is to ensure safe, effective, appropriate drug therapy for all patients. Reviews medication orders for appropriateness of therapy as related to age, weight, and diagnosis. Monitors patient profile for drug-drug interactions and potential medication allergies. Interacts with the prescribing physician to resolve any questions regarding medication therapy. Enters physician orders into the patient profiles and verifies all work performed by technicians in the medication filling process, including verification of patient medication cassettes. Enters and prepares orders for intravenous medication including hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapeutic agents, and miscellaneous IV solutions.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree or Pharm. D Degree required. Ohio pharmacist license required. Previous pediatric hospital experience desired.
