Recycles avian houses in a farm setting. Disassembles houses and related equipment; washes, repairs, sanitizes and reassembles houses.

We are seeking a Cew Worker for our Avian sites located in and around Roanoke, IL.

The following are responsibilities related to the Crew Worker:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform house recycles including disassemble of houses and related equipment, washing, repairing, sanitizing and reassembling of houses.
  • Perform minor equipment repair.
  • Assist with flock removal, bird moves and bird sales.
  • Perform other farm related activities.
  • Fill in for house managers as needed.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic maintenance skills and experience; basic carpentry skills and experience
