Bilingual Research Assistant/ Phlebotomist

Summary: The position of Bilingual Research Assistant/ Phlebotomist at Center for Clinical Studies involves managing the Lab and providing assistance and support to the Research Team in the day to day activities necessary to meet all assigned protocol tasks. This position will include front desk assistance and back up as required. Work environment is an outpatient medical office setting. This is a Full time hourly position Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm with possible over time as needed.

Responsibilities: The following is the duties and requirements of the Research Assistant to include but is not limited to:

• Bilingual, English-Spanish required
• Medical terminology required
• Phlebotomy skills required
• Lab experience strongly preferred
• Laboratory sample collection, processing and packaging according to and following all protocol specific laboratory manuals, and IATA shipping mandates
• Attention to detail and accuracy is important
• Ability to learn and apply new skills and procedures
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an efficient manner
• Coordinate with other staff members on workload sharing, etc.
• Schedule Appointments using Electronic Scheduling System
• Assemble study related participant kits, screening folders
• Filing patient charts and regulatory binders
• Ensure consistent patient privacy and confidentiality
• Strong front desk Medical Assistant skills
• Able to receive constructive criticism with a professional and positive attitude
• Other duties as assigned

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Plus additional specialized courses or training required. Previous Medical Assistant, Laboratory and computer experience is preferred as well as customer service work.
