Senior Software Developer – canfield scientific – Parsippany, NJ

The ideal Senior Software Developer candidate is an expert C#/C++ and WPF Programmer, who works well independently and as part of a team, and has the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

Job Description:

• Develop and deploy medical imaging software products on Microsoft Windows platforms
• Ensure that all system components demonstrate sound architectural design patterns
• Produce technical software documentation and perform design and code reviews
• Perform technical support and troubleshooting for escalated customer issues
• Evaluate technologies and appropriately introduce them to complement and/or replace existing technologies
• Produce adaptable and scalable designs and implementations that fully support new requirements while cleanly integrating with existing systems

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field) and expert-level programming skills with five (5) or more years work experience in application development using C++/C#, WPF, and .NET framework
• Strong source code debugging, optimization, refactoring, and testing skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and within expected timeframes
• Strong design/OO skills and modular event driven applications development experience
• Demonstrated experience with GUI design

Desired

• Experience with Imaging and/or graphics programming, Data Visualization/presentation, and writing multithreaded applications for Windows
• Familiarity with SOA and associated technologies, current database technologies (especially SQL Server) and unit testing frameworks
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS and the associated APIs and SDKs
• Experience developing and deploying medical applications in a medical enterprise environment
• Digital photography equipment and techniques knowledge is advantageous
