McGregor PACE is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE site), whose mission is to provide an alternative to nursing home placement by enabling seniors to remain at home, in the community.
We are enthusiastic about our search for a safety and customer service focused individual to be responsible for the overall management of transportation services, with prior experience documenting and analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency impacting fiscal goals compounded by organizational growth!
To meet the increasing demands on transportation service delivery Qualifications for this role encompasses:
- 4 year degree preferred, 2 year degree required
- 2+ years in a logistics role
- 5 years hands-on preventative maintenance/mechanic experience
- 3 + years routing software oversight and implementation
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for staffing decisions, training, driver competency assessment and development; planning and directing work assignments; disciplining; managing performance reviews.
- Coordinates transportation of participants between home, the Day Center, affiliated facilities, via company vehicles or through contract providers
- Oversees contract providers for compliance with PACE regulations; provides contractors with education to facilitate compliance
- Designs and develops daily routes via GPS tracking systems coordinating driver assignments to ensure compliance with Ohio law, industry standards and organizational policies
- Develops and monitors the vehicle maintenance program ensures a safe environment exists and all maintenance activities are in compliance with State, Federal and Company requirements
- Supervises bus fueling,
- Is a key member of the Interdisciplinary team, responsible for contributing to the plan of care, coordinating 24 hour care delivery, communicating with team members, and documenting changes; communicates changes in care plan to drivers
- Attends partnership meetings, as requested
- In collaboration with the Quality Director, develops and monitors departmental outcome indicators implementing performance improvement strategies as appropriate
- Communicates and troubleshoots and resolves all transportation issues or concerns with internal/external customers
- Develops and monitors departmental budget and expenses.
- Initiates and implements projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs; reviews financial and budget variances and accounts payable documents
- Is a member of the Management team, participating in, and contributing to other forums which develop organizational strategy and planning
