Responsible for ensuring that the coding operations team consistently meets accuracy and productivity standards.
Requirements/Education
Bachelors Degree required. Must be a graduate of an HIM program with successful completion of
the accreditation exam and certification through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Manager (RHIA).
Active membership in the American Health Information Management Association required. Five (5) years HIM management experience required, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
Experience with ambulatory surgery and clinic services preferred. Practical experience using an electronic medical record system.
Preferably EPIC. Possess knowledge and understanding of applicable State, Federal and local laws, rules, regulations relating to patient health information.
Coding experience helpful with knowledge of CMS rules/regulations desired. Knowledge of the revenue cycle process is preferred.
