What You Will Do
As an associate with Columbia St. Mary’s-WI, you will have the opportunity to collect, decontaminate, store and distribute surgical instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Operates all sterilizing equipment following regulation directives.
- Assembles and maintains specific surgical instruments utilized throughout the facility.
- Inventories and reorders instruments and supplies.
- Performs all required quality assurance tests on equipment and maintains daily records.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT), Certified Surgical Instrument Processor (CSIP) by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM).
Education:
- HS or Equivalent
- High School Diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited sterile processing program preferred
Work Experience:
- No experience required.
