WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an AlixaRx Pharmacy Service Technician based from your home, your mission is to provide excellent customer service as a key contributor that will help nurses and managers at our client long-term health facilities, and our ultimate customers, the patients. As a part-time position, which involves working no less than 20-hours in the week, you will travel to your assigned facilities in the Northwestern (Toledo, Ashland and Vermillion), OH regional area. Once the automatic dispensing unit (ADU) is up and operational, you will regularly review and monitor medication inventory making sure to reorder and place new stock into the ADU & EMC machine accordingly.  Your professional and excellent communication abilities will be called upon while interfacing with and training the appropriate long term care facility staff on the proper use of equipment and peripherals. Displaying your mechanical aptitude will be important as you perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and peripherals, follow troubleshooting protocols for any level-one issues with remote dispensing machines, as well perform level-one service calls such as replacing refillable supplies, thermal printer refill rolls, conduct monthly EMC audit for expiration dates. Paying close attention to detail will be invaluable as you also conduct periodic medical cart audits and remove expired medications and flag reorder dates.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) at minimum
  • Licensed with the State Board of Pharmacy and in good standing
  • At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Basic computer skills, including fundamental knowledge of Windows based software programs such as Word and Excel
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • A clean driving record, reliable vehicle and the ability to travel
  • Capable of lifting up-to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work and produce results under pressure
