Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established Company policies and procedures.
Reports unsafe conditions and unsafe equipment.
Ability to MIG weld steel
Perform metal fabrication and weld repair as necessary to build various equipment and parts.
Ability to read production drawings.
Operates Shop machinery and equipment
Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template.
Ability to multi-task by working on multiple projects at once, due to the availability of parts, and time constraints.
Ensure that supplies needed to perform essential job functions are in stock and replaced in order to maintain proper levels of inventory at all times.
Ensure proper handling of all parts, units, assemblies and equipment while in the repair process.
Ensure that all documentation is kept current as to open discrepancies and completed corrective actions.
Maintain the work area in a safe, clean and operative condition, ensuring all tools are accounted for at completion of all assigned tasks.
Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with RDM policies and guidelines.
Responsible and accountable for all work performed.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher Education preferred.
Trade School Certification/Licensing preferred but not required
5+ Years’ experience required
Experience in R&D or Prototype fabricating is a plus.
Strong English Communication Skills (Speak, Read and Write).
Self-Motivated
Task driven
Team player
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
